Zorah Heritage wines are a celebration of the living history of Armenian viticulture diversity and an exploration of its long forgotten heirloom grapes. Our goal is to reach deep into the past and salvage rare, native varieties from extinction. Crafted in traditional Armenian amphorae and reminiscent bygone winemaking practices this wine is a blend of Styrene, a red from Artsah, and Ararati, a white from Vayots Dzor.

The wine is made from local grape varieties Sireni (Artsakh) and Ararati (Vayots Dzor). The fermentation and aging of wine are carried out in the traditional clay amphoras (Karases). The wines is aged for 24 months in karases, afterwards, 10-12 months in bottle.

OLD BRIDGE wine is made from Areni grape variety. The grapes are harvested from the farm’s own vineyard in Vayots Dzor region. The vineyard is located at an altitude of 1250 m above sea level. The wine is aged in Armenian oak barrels for 24 months.
The wine has a deep ruby color. Rich aroma with notes of ripe cherries, blackberries, mountain flowers and spices. The wine is full-bodied, It is velvety on the palate, with notes of ripe cherries, black berries, and vanilla and chocolate from aging in barrel.

Wine Maran Bagratuni Reserve 14,5% Red Dry, 2018, 0.75 L, Armenia

Bagratuni wines have the name of the Bagratuni dynasty of rulers. Winemaking and viticulture prospered in Armenia under their rule, from the 9th to the 11th centuries: new wineries and taverns were built, and numerous vineyards were planted. The label depicts the coat of arms of the dynasty. These are reserve wines aged in oak barrels.
The wine is made from the noble grape variety Areni. The vineyar is located in Vayoc Dzor region, on the 1300-1400 m above sea level. The wines are called reserve and агe aged for more than 6 months in Caucasus oak barrels.

Noravank, Maran Winery’s firstborn, is named after a 13th-century monastery next to our vineyards in Vayots Dzor region. The first vintage was released in a newly independent Armenia in 1991. These wines are generally more easily drinkable and have no oak ageing.
The wine is produced with 2 indigenious grape varieties Areni and Tozot. The vineyards are located in Vayoc Dzor region, on the altitude of 1300-1400 m above sea level. It’s a semi-sweet wine and has got 20 g/l residual sugar.

Wine Maran Avagini Rouge 16,0% Red liqueur, 2010, 0.5 L, Armenia

Mode of production: made according to the traditional technology of incomplete natural fermentation of wort with the subsequent addition of alcohol stopping the fermentation process. Since the sugar content in grapes does not exceed 16-18%, then this wine is semi-dessert. After fermentation is surely aged in oak barrels, due to which the wine becomes deeper and more saturated.

Tasting notes: wine is dark ruby color. The fragrant aroma of the wine is sweet with sweet fruity notes that complement the honey notes. The taste of wine is deep, rich, tart and sweet, with a soft texture and well-defined fruity shades.

Wine Halde 14.0% red dry Reserve, 2018, 0.75 L, Armenia

Halde wine is aged at the bottom of Lake Kari, on the hills of Mount Aragats, at an altitude of 3185 m above sea level. The temperature at the bottom of the lake is 3.56 °C and below.
The wine aging under water in quite unusual conditions certainly has a beneficial effect on its quality. In particular, the color intensity and concentration of important compounds are preserved.

Halde wine is made from Areni Noir grape variety. The vineyard is located in the Vayots Dzor region, Armenia. The blend contains 15% of the Malbec variety grown in the Armavir region.
The wine has a deep ruby color. Intense aroma, pronounced notes of cherries and wild berries. In the result of underwhater aging the wine becomes velvety with matured tannins and nicely expressed berry notes.

Varietal composition: Areni Noir 85%, Malbec 15%

Zart red dry wine is made from Areni and Sev Milaga (Kakhet) grape varieties. The vineyards are located in Vayots Dzor region, Armenia, on the altitude of 900-1100 m above sea level.
The wine has deep ruby color with a slight purple hue. Intense aromas of black berries, with delicate tones of cherries. On the palate the wine is fresh, berry, with pleasant acidity, well expressed notes of cherries, blueberries, blackberries, delicate tannins and a long aftertaste.

Varietal composition: Areni 50%, Sev Milaga 50%.

The wine is made from rare grape varieties Tigrani and Karmrahyut. Grapes are grown in Armavir region, on their own roots in volcanic soils. 9 types of yeast take part in the production. As a result of this unusual technology, the wine turns to be richer in aroma and flavour.

Tasting notes: rich aroma with fruity and floral tones and pronounced aromas of black currant, cherry, rose and spices, on the palate – full-bodied, fruity, harmonious, with velvety tannins and a long pleasant aftertaste.

Gastronomy: it is recommended to combine with beef and lamb dishes, meat snacks, hard cheeses.
